CustomerRadar ("we", "our") is a customer segmentation and retention app for Shopify merchants ("you", "merchant"). This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and how you can control it.

What we collect

When you install CustomerRadar, we receive order and customer data from your Shopify store via the Shopify Admin API and webhooks, limited to:

We do not request or collect payment card details, passwords, or any data beyond what's needed to build customer segments.

Why we collect it

We use this data solely to group your customers into behavioral segments (e.g. "New", "At-Risk", "Lapsed") based on recency, frequency, and monetary value of their orders, so you can see who's engaged and who's at risk of churning. We do not use this data for any other purpose, and we do not sell or share it with third parties.

How long we keep it

We retain customer and order data for as long as your CustomerRadar account is active. If a customer's data-deletion request is forwarded to us via Shopify (the customers/redact webhook), we remove their personally identifying fields (name, phone, email) within 48 hours while keeping anonymized order statistics for segmentation accuracy. If you uninstall CustomerRadar, all data associated with your store is permanently deleted within 48 hours (via Shopify's shop/redact webhook).

How we protect it

Data is transmitted over HTTPS in transit. Access tokens are encrypted at rest. Access to the underlying database is restricted to CustomerRadar's operator.

Your rights

Merchants and their customers can request access to or deletion of personal data at any time through Shopify's standard data request/erasure tools, which CustomerRadar honors automatically via Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks.
